A Small Example of God's Care

Awhile ago, I decided I wanted to get up early and read my Bible for an hour. But, I hadn't gotten up to an alarm clock in years and really didn't like the idea of using one. So, I asked the Lord if he would wake me up at 6 a.m. as opposed to my normal wake-up time of 7 a.m.

The Lord has been very regular at waking me up. I am sound asleep and just wake up at 5:57, 6:02, 5:59, etc. When I look at the clock, I can joyfully begin my day with a thank you and a strong sense of delight in the Lord's care for me in even this very small area.

Some friends recommended that I journal, or make notes about the things that catch my eye as I read. I have found this suggestion to be very helpful in keeping me alert, and focusing my attention on my reading.
